Vision Statement

Peru has implemented the required effort to submit an iNDC based on initiatives in accordance with national circumstances and capabilities and in line with national economic development, poverty reduction and social inclusion goals. The initiatives will also pursue to maximize the overall benefit in adaptation and mitigation as a result of sound management of national forest resources.

Considers protecting ecosystem services that forests provide, and attend the most vulnerable groups (indigenous communities and small forest producers).

Promote comprehensive land management with a landscape approach, oriented to increase forests resilience to climate change, and reduce the vulnerability of local populations.
